Gotta love when you wait 8 months for someone to make a frame and it is still all wrong! Well now it's correct sometimes your better off to do shit in house.

Jap Bikes...

Well after my rant below about buying American I figured I would fuck with ya a bit. ere is a little thought on doing Jap bikes (which we do). We do more for local economy on old Jab bikes then you would think. First we buy these bikes local, mostly from people that could use some cash to get buy, thus helping stimulate the economy. Next we fab most of the parts in house as there are not a lot of parts out there for them. If I am buying parts I am support guys like Pamco Pete and other small shops doing stuff for them. So when it is all done the only thing not from here is the original bike, look at a Harley Davidson parts package lately?

Do your part keep us going don't buy new shit from over seas, keep old shit going at least that stays here!!!

Support American Made?

With today's economy being what it is we should really look around at what it is we are buying and who it is benefiting. Some people are on a kick to buy American made items. Well to be called American made it only has to have a small portion of its manufacturing process done here in the states. I was talking with my hardware supplier the other day about going over to American made hardware and they told us it isn't worth it as most of the process is done over seas. So this brings me back to my original statement, who is it benefiting? I for one am a supporter of buying local. I hate Walmart and other big chains that under cute small family run business. If you keep supporting these places eventually that is all you will have. Some of you may be wondering what this has to do with motorcycles, well it is just the same. If you buy your parts from places like J&P cycles or Jirah you are not supporting the guy in your town. Next time you call that guy and ask him for advise on how to install that cool new part think about what you are doing to him. He is working his ass off to keep his shop open and you are just abusing him. This goes for all the big internet distributer and so on. Call them when your part doesn't fit correct maybe they will put it on the bridgport for you and make it work.

Anyways I got a little off there, I basically think buying American is a good start however we need to take it further. By local when you can, support small business when you can, these little things will make a big difference over time.

I have done a lot of running around to get it wired and charging correctly, but now that it is it works great. If you have a points style chopper and need the parts to do this correctly without having to mess around let us know we will get you set up. If enacted, HB-95 would: - prohibit any and all motorcycle exhaust system modifications; - prohibit all after-market equipment that replaces the muffler; - require all motorcycles to be equipped with a tachometer; - require all motorcycles to measure 95 dB(A) or less tested at 20 inches from the exhaust system at a 45 degree angle; - and increase the fine to not more than $500 for a violation If you believe this bill is ill-conceived and would have a chilling effect on motorcycling in New Hampshire, contact your state representative NOW and tell him or her so. If you don't know who your state representative is, visit the "Who's My Legislator" area of the New Hampshire General Court website and select your hometown from the dropdown list. Then call, write, e-mail, fax and/or visit your representative to encourage their opposition to HB-95. Talking points to keep in mind: - not all motorcycles are equipped from the factory with tachometers - unless administered by properly trained personnel with properly calibrated equipment, the sound level recorded may not represent the true sound level of the exhaust system - an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) exhaust system may no longer be available or could be cost prohibitive for a wide range of motorcycles There are other ways to reduce excessive exhaust sound from motorcycles. Riding the shovel to work on a lousy wet fall day, I find myself at a red light next to some chump in a Tundra. He's on the phone and he rolls his window up, looking over at me but not making eye contact. He starts inching up, anticipating the green light and I realize this dope intends to get the drop and race me.

The light turns green & he floors it, but by the time I'm in third gear he's behind me &  I give a nice little wave as I pass.

What makes people do this? What's to be gained by playing tough guy behind glass in the comfy confines of your truck? Can you imagine a manhood so diminished that it clings to this kind of fake confrontation as long as his cell & coffee are conveniently at hand?

Next time, do something that shows what's really inside you, because frankly this sort of behavior is about as tough as a Hello Kitty backpack.
