Winter is here

Well it is snowing out so I figure i might as well give a run down on what is going on for the winter. I should have new T-shirts and Hoodies for the holidays. I will post them up as soon as I get them. Winter is a great time to get some stuff down on your bike.

We are giving 15% off labor and great discounts on parts. If you are in the need of parts from Drag, V-Twin, Biltwell, CCI and much more let me know I ship and offer great savings if you mention this site. (Most parts 15% or more off retail call about it)

I have winter work booking in fast so if you need something done spring comes quick. Keep in mind we offer everything from service and upkeep to engine performance and full customizing. If you have an old bike you want to bring to life or a new bike you want to make your own let us know. Chop Shop Cycles works on bikes from all over the U.S. however we will pick up within New England for a small fee. Call the shop for booking 603-672-5619 or visit the site for more info.

More from the Northeast

Lock Baker is a cool cat I have met at a few bike shows. His bikes are real unique with a lot of little fab that sets them apart. Also check out his partner in crime at Heylje Rose Leather. Rad leather work maybe you can get your chick something for X-mas or maybe you need a little something cast for your bike.

I love this shit!

I live in a growing NH town that seems to have trouble with change. Last summer my shop was forced to go to town meetings to fight local police and town officials choices to aggressively enforce noise from motorcycles (mostly HD). We made some progress however it got cold out and the issue was dropped. Most recently we have had a tattoo parlor that wants to move into town. As always someone down town is upset over this. Read more here.

Remember local government plays a large role in your life, you have to stay on top of them, they work for you.
Milford's oval is changing... But is it for the good...

Tuesday Triumph

Another local bike, Brian from Mass. had this 69 at the shop Saturday.

Impart rotational energy.

New Jersey operative Darrin/earthbender captured your host doing his Shovel Aerobics somewhere deep in the woods of Phoenicia, NY.
An excellent example of the people watching/kicks required ratio.

Some old pictures

I was using an old computer in the shop today and I found some cool pics of my bike I had lost. It sucks because I sold it so fast, I never got to enjoy it.

Chicara Liquid Chrome

This looks like it is an amazing display of work. I suggest if you are in the Northeast make the pilgrimage to New York City.

Watch out for little Mexican men bearing electrodes.

Canadian operative El Shawn learning a little about DC current from a local while waiting for his arroz con pollo. What's great is after the guy gets done inflicting great shame & muscular spasms, he asks for a few pesos so that he may continue subjecting foreigners to this low-level torture. Vaya con dios!

Just becuase it's friday!

Fly'n Rite

Some pics of Brian's project I believe it is a 73 and he is using a Flyrite frame.

Updated all the time

Please send your pictures to chopshopcycles@verizon.net

Alien Autopsy

I'm redoing an alien tank to mount up skyward, thus increasing it's capacity in the bargain. These tanks do get thin in the areas where the metal has been stretched, so a light touch while welding is called for.

Soft Spot

This is a seat we covered as a joke on Duane. In the end Duane covering it for real. I thought it looked good for a T-shirt.

Sissy Bars.

I avoid drinking in them, but I like making them.

Want to know where you're headed?

...then look where you've been.
Remember your first build? This Triumph was 10 feet of pogoing death. Evidently I also though hand shifted Triumphs were cool, glad I grew out of that shit (as well as the dreaded flat fender).

Matt's 98 XL

I had these pictures sent in to me from Matt Tobias of Chandler AZ. Matt tells me he did all the work himself on his 98 Sporty Chop. The hardtail looks rad Matt good work.

Want to see your bikes up here please send in pictures and info on bikes to chopshopcycles@verizon.net

Jihad against flat fenders.

A friend gave me a pile of parts that, once assembled, should be a Triumph. Included was the dreaded flat fender, the Scourge of Bike Building. I asked for (and got) total creative freedom on the build, so I plasma'd the offending part in half, gave it a few love taps on a T-dolly to raise a  rib & welded it back up.
No, that V-Twin sissy bar is NOT going on the bike...

Another Movie Review

I picked this up last night at the local Best Buy, I didn't know it was out on DVD yet. Anyway it is a good fucking time. I think it has it all Beer Bikes Babes. I would suggest it to all of you.
